A valuable archeological find has been discovered under a concrete vase in the Vladimirsky Garden in Ulyanovsk city.
Having brought down an old flowerpot workers found under its basis a tombstone from the grave of the councilor of state Andrey Enaleev and his spouse. The tomb is dated to the early 19th century.
While waiting for specialists of the cultural heritage committee, the staff of the park paid attention to another laying. Beneath they found the second grave and then the third one. So far it is difficult to say how many of them there are there. Allegedly, before the park appeared this area was a waste ground. Apple gardens were nearby, whereas this place was probably allocated for a cemetery.
Now archeologists are working on this area. They will be able to make final conclusions about the value of the finds only after their detailed study.
