The head coach of a Spartak Moscow football club, Valery Karpin, will leave his post after the end of 2011/12 football season. According to "Sovetsky Sport" newspaper, he will resign regardless of the team’s results in their last two games of the season.
Spartak currently sit fourth in the Russian Premier League table, three points short of a spot in the Champions League. Karpin will remain as a head coach for the last two games, and then will concentrate on his duties as the club’s general director.
According to some press sources, Spartak Moscow's owner, Leonid Fedun wants the FC to be trained by a foreign coach and most likely it will be a Spanish-speaking manager.
Valery Karpin has been coaching Spartak since 2009, after resignation of Dutch football legend Michael Laudrup. He managed to lead the team to silver medals in the Russian Premier League, but Spartak wasn't able to achive any better results.
