Demand for electronic books has doubled in Russia for the last year. Publishers have earned $135 million, according to the agency Rospechat (Russian Publishing).
The market of electronic books is growing 120% annually in the recent years. ‘One of the major reasons is rather low size of the market last year. to grow from the zero point is always fun and fast. In the nearest years the market will be growing fast. New kinds of electronic payment and e-book readers are being introduced,’ says the Business FM presenter Alexander Gavrilov.
The sales of e-book readers are growing fast as well. Its is one of the most active segments of consumer electronics.
