"Paris, Paris …" - an exhibition of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's lithographs from private European collections has been opened in the Kaliningrad Art Gallery.
The exposition presents about 60 lithographs by the well-known postimpressionist - concert posters, works from the famous "circus" series, reflecting brightness of the magnificent and serene era called "La Belle Epoque".
From 1891 to 1899 Toulouse-Lautrec created more than 300 lithographs, having made a significant contribution into formation of the graphic language of the last decade of the 19th century. He considered the prints and posters to be no less significant for his creativity than his paintings, and always displayed them together.
The exhibition will run till June 3.
