Andrei Arshavin To Head the Russian Euro-2012 Team

The current coach of the Russian football team Dijk Advocaat has announced the final list of the Russian team at the European Championship which takes place in Poland and Ukraine between June 8 and July 1, 2012.

Andrei Arshavin will head the team. The coach also claimed that further additions or changes in the squad are unlikely. He also noted that he had difficulties choosing a goalkeeper for the team; he finally invited Igor Akinfeev, Anton Shunin, and Vyacheslav Malafeev.

Advocaat believes Russia has a good chance at winning the cup, or least to contest in the final.
