The Astrakhan Nature Biosphere Reserve attracts tourists with a unique walking route. Visitors will be able to see the diversity of flora and fauna of the Volga Delta.
As Interfax reports, the guided tour “Ecological Path from the Volga to the Caspian Sea” aims to draw public attention to the problems of the unique nature of the Volga Delta. According to the director of the reserve, tourists were not invited to this protected area in previous years so that to provide special conditions for migratory birds, coming to the Lower Volga to have rest and nest.
The Astrakhan Nature Reserve was established 93 years ago in order to preserve and research natural systems and genetic foundations of the Volga Delta and the Caspian coast. Tourists will be able to see various birds and rare aquatic plants as well as to visit the Museum of Nature.
