10-Meter Jesus Christ to Appear in Kemerovo Region

In summer 2012 a bronze cast figure of Jesus Christ will be set up on the highest point of Prokopyevsk town (Kuzbass Region) - in Tyrgan, which means “the mountain of winds”.

The statue was created by Krasnoyarsk master Konstantin Zinich. “The sculptural composition is 10 meters high. The pedestal is five meters and the sculpture is five meters. There was no intention to make an analogy with the Brazilian sculpture in Rio de Janeiro. The local dwellers have chosen this composition”- sibinfo.su reports.
Now the sculpture has already been delivered from Moscow to Prokopyevsk town. It needs to be prepared for installation. According to the head of culture department, the works will be completed this summer already. The statue will be surrounded with a park, which will have a fountain.
