Sergei Bodrov to Screen Amphibian Man in English

The Trikita Entertainment Company will produce a new screen version of Alexander Beliaev’s famous fantastic novel Amphibian Man.
      
      Now Sergei Bodrov is writing the scenario. Russia, Italy and Germany will take part in creation of the new Amphibian Man version. The new screen version will be in the English language.
      
      The budget of the project will make eight million US dollars. The shooting is expected to be started at the end of 2012.
      
      The novel Amphibian Man was published for the first time in 1928. The first screen version of the book was directed by Vladimir Chebotaryov and Gennadi Kazansky in 1961. Vladimir Korenev and Anastasiya Vertinskaya played the leads in the film, which gained immense popularity.
