Science Cafe Organized in Moscow

The new project “Science Cafe” has been organized by the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of Moscow. It works as a club for young entrepreneurs, scientists and politicians, who want to discuss the most relevant problems of modern science.

The main idea of the project is to create a unique place for public discussions and meetings of young professionals with leading scientists, politicians and businessmen. Each month, young people meet with more experienced colleagues in one of the capital's restaurants, where they can talk about innovative technologies and get advice on how to quickly start their own business, and how to successfully manage it.

The first meeting, attended by more that 150 young professionals and students of leading Moscow universities, was dedicated to the development of biomedical science.

The topics of the future events will be dedicated to technology and business, current trends in the development and commercialization of science in Moscow. Such problems as energy conservation and ecology, transport and road infrastructure, building construction will be also covered during the meetings.

It is supposed that the Science Cafe format will help to the development of modern science along with funding and equipment.
