The company Thames Sports Investment, headed by the Russian business Anton Zingarevich, has officially become the owner of the British football club Reading. The Russian businessman agreed to buy a 51% share Reading from John Madejski in January through Thames Sport Investment, owned by Zingarevich. The deal was planned to be completed in March but the Club’s promotion to the Royals’ Premier League delayed the procedure. A statement released by Reading read: "Reading Football Club are pleased to announce that a 51% acquisition by Thames Sports Investment (owned by Anton Zingarevich) has now been completed, complying with all Premier League and Football League requirements. Anton Zingarevich, 30, graduated from a business school in London. He is a son and a nephew of co-owners of pulp and paper industrial company Ilim Group, Boris ($ 650 million capital, according to the Forbes) and Mikhail Zingarevich, sais Business FM.
