Beijing-Moscow Motor Rally 2012: The Future of Car Tourism in Russia

The cross-tourism year between Russia and China opens with a motor rally Beijing-Moscow. It aims at promoting car tourism and Russian destinations to Chinese visitors.

Several cars with journalists will travel from Beijing via Manchuria and 18 different areas of Russian Federation. The organisers point out that car driving has become an essential part of today's life, however the quality of roads leaves a lot to be desired. The imperfect infrastructure impacts the development of Tourism industry in Russia, as well as economic and cultural exchanges with neighbouring states, particularly China.
