Beastie Boys band member Adam Horovitz, aka Ad-Rock, gave the first public performance after the death of Adam Yauch. 

      The event in which Adam Horovitz appeared took place in the New York club Death By Audio on Tuesday, June 12. It was organized in support of the Russian scandalous feminist punk band Pussy Riot. Three members of this project were accused of hooliganism and arrested for their performance inside the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow in March 2012.

      Other participants Heliotropes, Tinvulva and Shady Hawkins gave live performances, whereas Adam Horovitz limited himself to a DJ-set.

      Cofounder and member of Beastie Boys Adam Yauch died of cancer in New York on May 4 2012 at the age of 47. After his death Adam Horovitz and Michael Diamond had not appeared in public until the last event.
