The Russian capital, Moscow, has taken the seventh place in the list of the world's most expensive cities for an evening out for two people.
The British capital London is in the first place of the list in a cost comparison of key tourist cities around the world. The survey is based on the combined costs for two people of one night in a four-star hotel, cocktails, a two-course dinner with a bottle of wine, and taxi fares. In London a total cost is of $520.19. Oslo is the second with $499,91, then goes Zurich ($485,82). Moscow is the seventh with $429.
The most affordable city for travellers in Hanoi with a total cost of $141.57.
Moscow was also ranked the world’s fourth most expensive city for expatriates in the latest Mercer Human Resource Consulting survey. The most expensive city for expats is Tokyo, Japan. The Angolan capital Luanda came in second place followed by another Japanese city - Osaka. Geneva (Switzerland) comes in the fifth place.Moscow also came fourth in the 2010 and 2011 surveys.
