Moscow ranks fourth among the five most expensive cities for overseas visitors. Japanese capital makes top of the list.
According to the report, released by Mercer Human Resource Consulting, Luanda drops to second, Osaka comes in third and Moscow is fourth. Geneva follows in fifth position.
Researchers have analyzed the cost of various items and services (including housing, food and transport) in 214 cities.
The survey shows that the cost of living has become cheaper in many European countries as a result of the financial crisis. Thus, Paris moved down to 37th place while Rome and London dropped to 42th and 25th respectively.
The cheapest city in the world is Karachi, in Pakistan, where foreigner's expenses will be three times lower than in Tokyo.
