Experts have completed restoration works in the Faceted Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin and have found three thousand archaeological artifacts there.
Faceted Chamber - the major civil construction of the Moscow Kremlin - was erected in the late 15th century and was used for high-ranked events, including a secular part of the enthronement ceremony. Now it will be hosting events of the Protocol Service of the RF president.
Therefore, a usual ticket for visiting the Kremlin will not be sufficient to get inside the Faceted Chamber – one will have to submit an application from one’s company in advance.
Throughout 600 years of its history the construction has been repeatedly changed, mainly in regards to the width of doorways and the interior décor. The last restoration took place in the Faceted Chamber in the late sixties.
