The Boomfest comics festival to be held in St. Petersburg for the 6th time goes on admitting comics for competition. This year the subject of the competition is The CHOICE. Details of the competition can be found here: boomfest.ru/en/competition

       Boomfest - an international festival of cartooned stories - appeared as a private initiative in St. Petersburg in 2007. Since then it has developed into a vivid international event in the world of auteur comics.

      The festival takes place in St. Petersburg every September and embraces the central venues of the city. Exhibitions of comics and illustrations, performances and film screenings, competitions and workshops for young authors, meetings with artists and experts and, certainly, a book fair are held in the framework of Boomfest.

      This year the festival exhibition program will run pass from September 15 to October 14, and the educational program - from September 28 to September 30.
