360 Billion Rubles Contracts were Signed at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum


A total of 84 agreements were signed as part of SPIEF 2012 with 9 contracts having a combined value of more than 360 billion rubles, including 4 loan agreements for 164.4 billion rubles.

The results of SPIEF 2012 are higher than the previous year’s forum, when 68 agreements were signed for a total of 338 billion rubles, including 17 investment contracts for 283.54 billion rubles

The major contracts are between Rosneft and Statoil, Rosneft and Eni about joint oil exploration; Gazprom and the French EDF  about joint construction and acquiring gas-fired power plants in Europe. St. Petersburg International Economic Forum counted the large number of participants, 5,347 people. The participants in the official Forum programme included more than 157 executives of major foreign companies and 447 executives from Russian companies, including 55 directors of foreign companies and 23 directors of Russian companies who are included in the Forbes and Fortune ratings.
