The structures of Viktor Vekselberg’s Renova Group will get control over an airport in Rostov-on- Don, informs The Kommersant.

Recently the government of Russia has given 50.6% of the airport shares to the regional authorities.

According to The Kommersant, later these shares will be given to the company Rostovairoinvest, whose 75% of shares are controlled by the structure OJSC Koltsovo-Invest, which is a part of the Renova Group. The sum of the private investments into the airport in Rostov-on –Don will amount into $ 500 million. The Renova Group plans to develop the landing strip and to finance the building of a new airport Uzhniy with the traffic capacity of about 8 million passengers a year.
