LINOLEUM Animation Festival to Feature Winners of International Competitions

 The VII International festival of actual animation and media art LINOLEUM starts today in Gallery on Solyanka, Moscow.

      62 animation films from Spain, Italy, Holland, Portugal, Germany, France, Great Britain, the USA, Canada, China, Japan, Ukraine, New Zealand and Russia will take part in the competitive program. These are winners of animation festivals that have not yet been screen in Russia once.

      The jury headed by the Russian animation director Mikhail Aldashin will select the winner of the Grand Prize amounting to 5 thousand dollars.

      The festival will last till September 9. Along with the competitive program there will run Openmind program - for the authors working in different types of media art: video installations, video art, telecommunication art, stop motion, animation, net art, interactive electronic art, and sound art.

      The international Festival of Actual Animation and Media Art LINOLEM has been held annually since 2006. Since 2011 the festival programs have been screened not only in Moscow, but also St. Petersburg, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Samara, Krasnoyarsk, and Surgut.
