The International Music Festival Voice of Nomads is taking place in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia Republic from 11th to 13th of July.
The event organized this year by the Buryat State Philharmonic Society has been held for the 4th time.
“Representatives of different world cultures take part in the festival, which welcomes any new original ideas and experiments in the field of cinema and music, - the art director of the festival Natalia Ulanova points out. – The event is a space for free music of free people: it conveys the idea of nomadic culture as a symbol of movement and freedom.
Throughout all festival days the Philharmonic Society will be hosting Film Stage program presenting masterpieces of Buryat –Mongolian cinema.
The renowned Buryat singer Namgar, as well as guests from Inner Mongolia - Anda Union and faraway Africa - Bombino and Mokoomba will perform on the main stage of the Buryat State Academic Drama Theater on July 11 and 12. On July 13 visitors of an open-air concert in the Ethnographic Museum will have a chance to listen to traditional ethnic singing and new synthetic sounding by musicians from Brazil, France, Africa, Mongolia and, certainly, Russia.
