Moscow to Become Best City on the Earth

 The street culture festival “Best City of the Earth” will be held in Moscow from July 14 to September 2.

he organizers call the event “a pop-up festival” implying that street art and flash mobs will be popping-up in the most unexpected places of Moscow.

The festival will begin on Saturday with the action Photo Night in the frame of which well-known photographers will give five street workshops. July 21 will see a Battle of Bitboxers, and break-dancers will perform on July 28.

On the first August weekend Parade of Underground Musicians - musical improvisations in metro and subway crossings – will “pop-up”. August 11 and 12 will see spontaneous sessions of simultaneous graffiti drawing on construction fences – “Graffomania”.

On August 18 and 19 young actors will recite texts by modern Moscow poets and writers in the frame of the event Pop-up Theater.

The festival will be crowned with a gala final to take place in Kosmonavtov Avenue on the City Days - September 1 and 2.
