The Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery opens the exhibition of artworks by the People’s Artist of Russia Victor Sorokin (1912-2001) on July 19.
The exposition is dedicated to the artist’s 100th anniversary upcoming this year. Visitors will see 90 paintings created by the artist in different years. Critics called his creativity “a pearl of Russian art”.
His impressionistic works conveyed eternal values of life, beauty and love. Victor Sorokin's paintings, as well as his creative and pedagogical endeavors were associated with the Lipetsk Region.
In 2002 his museum, named House of the Master, was founded in Lipetsk. The exhibition in Moscow runs till August 26.
