Russian popular social net VKontakte, owned by the company V kontakte, claimed about its $ 16.1 million net profit for 2011. This is 13.9 % more than the previous year, says the news agency Interfax, referring to the company’s Russian standard accounting report for 2011.
In comparison with 2010 the company’s proceeds increased by 41.7% and made up about $ 102.8 million.
About 120 million users are registered at the social net VKontakte. The company makes its profit mostly by advertising.
