More than 70 ancient ornaments and rare Iranian coins of the 5th- 6th centuries have been found by Novosibirsk archeologists in Kudryashovsky pine forest at Krokhalevka-13 archeology site not far from Novosibirsk.
Researchers have examined a burial ground of the Verkhne-Obsky archaeological culture of the early Middle Ages. It is dated to the mid 8th – early 9th century AC.
A collective sepulcher of ancient nobility has been found in the burial ground. Two women and two girls were buried there, the press service reports referring to the head of archaeological expedition Vladimir Sumin.
