A one-day festival "Tel-Aviv in Moscow: The Impulse of Summer" will take place at the Nikolai Bauman Gardens on August 3, 2012. Organised by the Russian Jewish Congress, with support of Gilel Youth Organisation, Israeli Cultural Centre and the Ambassy of Israel, the festival promises to offer an ample insight into the rhythms and cultural traditions of Tel-Aviv, old and new.
Several master classes will take place as part of the programme, including those in Israeli street dance, fist fighting, drum beating, and others. Intellectual games and an express training in Hebrew will provide food for thought, and if then you'd wish to get some proper food, falafel and fruit cocktails avait.
At 9pm, with assistance from the Israeli Embassy, there will be a screening of a feature film, Salsa Tel-Aviv.
As part of the festival, there will be several contests; the winners of the Grand Prix will get a chance to visit Tel-Aviv - they will be staying at Dan Hotel and fly to Israel with El-Al and Israir (the two companies provide tickets for the winner).
The festival will take place on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 6.30pm onwards. The map below explains how to get to the Nikolai Bauman Gardens.
