Mysterious Temple Found Near Rostov

Near Rostov archeologists have found a mysterious temple with images of Dionysus and Cybele - the Great Mother of Gods.
Archeologists have discovered a temple constructed in the 4th century B.C. in the Elizavetovsky site of ancient settlement. Inside the temple complex of the Hellenic epoch they found seven figurines, as well as images of Mother of Gods Cybele and god Dionysus. According to historians, the temple was destroyed in the early 3rd century B.C. in a fire. Recently experts lifted a part of its wall, and under it found well-preserved sacral artifacts.
All the finds will be studied in course of laboratory tests and investigations, and later will be transferred to one of the museums in Rostov city.
