Garage Center of Contemporary Culture has announced its support of the travelling project Museum of Everything in Russia.
The project aims at finding unknown, unrecognized and nonprofessional artists, including outsiders from most disadvantaged social groups, such as disabled people, homeless, and prisoners.
The Museum of Everything is a charitable organization founded by the British curator James Brett in 2009; its collection includes works by self-educated artists from different countries. Within three years the Museum of everything has given four exhibitions in Great Britain and Italy, including one in the Tate Modern Gallery in London. Now the Museum of Everything tours around Russian cities (St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Moscow), where a special jury selects works for the 5th traveling exhibition, which will be displayed in Garage in September.
