The 85th anniversary since the birth of the great actor Mikhail Ulyanov, a People’s Artist of the USSR, will be celebrated in his homeland, the town of Tara in the Omsk Region.
Five years ago Omsk dwellers took part in creation of a monument to their outstanding townsman at the Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. Now they have decided to create a museum and a bronze monument to Mikhail Ulyanov in his hometown.
The monument designed by the sculptor Andrey Balashov will be set up in front of Mikhail Ulyanov Theatre. At the same time the Mikhail Ulyanov charity foundation goes on collecting materials and exhibits for the actor’s museum, which will be housed in the Drama Theatre named after Mikhail Ulyanov.
