Monument to General Bagration to be Set up in Vladimir Region

A monument to one of the heroes of Patriotic War of 1812 - General Peter Bagration - will be set up in Sim Village of the Yuryev-Polsky District of the Vladimir Region.
      According to the regional administration press service, the generals bust will be set up on the place of his initial grave in the yard of Dimitrii Solunsky Church. Besides, memorial plates will be fixed on the church walls. The events will be timed to celebration of the victory in Patriotic War of 1812 on September 23-25 this year.
      "Besides, during the celebration days Peter Bagration's Museum in Sima will be replenished with new exhibits. The Second Sima Bagrations Readings with participation of guests from Moscow and an extensive concert program will be held there. One of the leading historians of Russia Evgeny Anisimov will present his new book Bagration, - the press service reports.
