Zombie Pride: Evil Spirits to Parade In the Streets of Tver
Shawn of the Dead In the Streets of Tver

As they say, repair your cart in December, in August your Halloween remember. The fans of zombie theme from Tver plan to show their true colours when they parade through town on Tuesday, August 21. An announcement in a group in vKontakte appeals to come down for a solemn walk in your best zombie clothes', "blood on your face", and rock the town.

The participants promise to get more Tver citizens and visitors "zombied", as they plan to face-paint the new evil spirits right during the parade. The highlight of the event is going to be a special contest, to select the scariest and bloodiest zombies. The top three will be awarded for their unique uglyness.

In the recent years Russians have shown great interest in supporting some Western crazes: some religiously celebrate Halloween, while others organise wedding ceremonies in the Star Wars style
