Following the examples of other Olympics host cities, Sochi plans to re-use two Petersburg ferries as hotels for guests.

Two passage-boats, Princess Maria and Princess Anastasia, will arrive to Sochi in early 2014. The rooms will be used as regular hotel accommodation during the Olympic Games. In March 2014 the ferries will return to normal work in Petersburg.

Presently there is no information about the cost of stay aboard the passage-boat; it is known that both ships will stand in a new port, currently under construction.

The ferries were most prominently used during the Olympic Games at Barcelona where 15 cruise liners accommodated visitors. The use of boats helps to save on building extra tourist facilities.
