Russian composer Olga Viktorova from Yekaterinburg has become the winner of the prestigious competition of composers held in the framework of the Young Euro Classic Festival in Berlin.

The composer has been awarded for her work Lux Aeterna (Eternal Light).
Only 10 works, which were either world premieres or German premieres, were presented at the competition.

Olga's rivals were composers from Germany, Holland, Spain, Romania, Singapore, France, the Republic of South Africa, the Baltic States and other countries.

The work Lux Aeterna was created specially for the Ural Youth Orchestra. It is remarkable that throughout all the musical performance the conductor keeps “writing” in the air Latin letters making the phrase Lux Aeterna.
