Toulouse-Lautrec Exhibition Opens in Kazan

Today the National Art Gallery "Hazine" of the Tatarstan State Museum of Fine Arts opens the exhibition “Paris, Paris …” by one of the masters of postimpressionism Henri Toulouse-Lautrec.

      Kazan dwellers will see his paintings from the circus series, poster of dancers and actresses, and posters for the Moulin Rouge and Moulin de la Galette cabarets, depicting life in Paris of the late 19th century.

      French music accompanying the exhibition will add to creation of authentic atmosphere. 48 lithographs gathered together from private collections have been brought from the Petersburg Art-Center Gallery.

      The exhibition runs in Kazan till September 30.
