Pablo Picasso Exhibition Opens in Irkutsk

Museum studio of Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local Lore opens the exhibition Ceramics and Graphic Works by Pablo Picasso on August 23, 2012.

      The exhibition presents 30 ceramic and 52 graphic works. These masterpieces were acquired by the well-known Russian collector and exhibition curator Alexander Shadrin at the Christies auction.

      Parisian public highly estimated the exhibition, having stated that it is the largest exhibition of Picasso’s graphic art in a private gallery in recent years. The project is planned to be implemented in Russia from August, 2012 to August, 2013.

      Irkutsk will become the first city to open this exhibition project. Earlier Alexander Shadrin organized exhibition projects dedicated to Mikhail Shemyakin, Ernst Neizvestny, Salvador Dalí, and nonconformists.

      The exhibition of works by Pablo Picasso in Irkutsk will run till September 23, 2012.
