Dynamo Moscow lost its first leg match against Stuttgart in the away game in Europa League qualifying on Mercedes-Benz Arena. Vedad Ibisevic scored twice on 71 and 90 minutes to give the Germans a good advantage ahead of the return game on August 28 in Moscow.
Dynamo did not make a single shot on target, looking as bleak as in the five Premiership matches this season, which they lost. Dynamo’s leaders like Kevin Kuranyi or Igor Semshov did not look fit enough to keep up with the speed or tenacity of the Bundesliga side.
Even former Kuban’s coach Dan Petrescu failed to make a difference in his debut game, taking over from Dmitry Khokhlov on August 20.
