St. Petersburg Celebrates 230th Anniversary of Bronze Horseman

The 230th anniversary of Bronze Horseman - one of the monumental symbols of St. Petersburg - is celebrated in the city. In honor of the anniversary the Museum of City Sculpture has opened the exhibition “In search of Peter” dedicated to numerous secrets and riddles of the Bronze Horseman.

The visitors will get answers to a variety of questions - why the multiton monument doesn't fall, having only two footholds, that is inside the sculpture, why the apples of Peter’s eyes are heart-shaped, and many other questions.

The exhibition presents ancient drawings and other exhibits telling about how one of the major symbols of Petersburg was created.
