VI Moscow festival of free publishers Boo!Fest with an extensive music program will be held in Muzeon Park of Arts from August 24 to August 26, 2012.

      Boo! Fest is the most unusual and informal book festival in Moscow. It was conceived as an alternative to well-established and expensive book fairs, which are inaccessible to small publishers, who publish books that are not mentioned for mass consumption.

      This year organizers want to make Boo! Fest a grand event: more than 450 participants, and 40 000 visitors are expected at the festival.

      The festival traditionally hinges around The Market, where visitors can get books by independent small publishing houses, all possible hand-made things, designer accessories and other, most unexpected things.

      An extended music program and lectures, poetry readings and theatrical performances will be presented on six stages. Visitors will even get a chance to print something in a real printshop.
