Croatian Media: Sergei Ovchinnikov Committed Suicide

The Croatian media confirmed, according to Kommersant tabloid, that Sergei Ovchinnikov, the coach of Russian female volleyball team Dynamo, committed suicide by hanging himself in the hotel room. He was 43.

The police currently working on the site decline to comment, however the rumours of Ovchinnikov's suicide have been promptly linked to the defeat of his team at the Olympics in London. Although Dynamo has quite easily reached the quarter-finals, they lost to the Brazilian team. Ovchinnikov's colleagues blame this defeat for driving the sportsman to end his life.
