Archeologists working in Staraya Russa (Novgorod Region) have found in Kurortny Pit remains of a probable office building, where a set of earlier seals was stored.

As the chief of Kurortny Pit Pavel Kolosnitsyn said to journalists on Monday, archeologists had dug out a part of a cribwork of the 14th -15th centuries.

“Here are remains of an office building or a house of a person, who was engaged in office-work and kept here the found seals” - Pavel Kolosnitsyn said.

The area of Kurortny Pit now exceeds 1 thousand sq m. Rescue archaeological works were started here in 2010 on the building site of a sports complex.

According to the chief archeologist, all the finds will be examined and processed for three years and then will be transferred to the Novgorod Museum Reserve. The works in Kurortny Pit will last till summer 2013.
