The Moscow Kremlin is going to host an exhibition of artworks and treasures of the epoch of the Tudors - the English royal dynasty reigning in 1485-1604, which marked the heyday of English culture.
The exposition Golden Age of the English Courtyard: from Henry the Eighth to Charles the First will present cold and firearms, suits, parade armour of English kings, jewelry, as well as elements of interior decorations, ritual vessels and other exhibits. The exhibition will be held in Odnostolpnaya Chamber of the Patriarchal Palace and in the Exhibition Hall of the Uspensky Belfry from October 26, 2012 to January 27, 2013.
The exhibition program includes a number of lectures: Henry the Eighth and the Birth of Renaissance Courtyard in England (on October 27), "English Elysium: Artistic and Intellectual Life of the Yard of Elizabeth the First (on December 1), and others.
