Technosila to sell nearly half of its operating shops

Technosila, one of the largest Russian home appliances net, is to sell its 40 out of 100 operating shops to its competitor Eldorado.

Technosila intends to get rid of its inefficient shops. Each shop is estimated 1.26 million USD, so the whole deal will summarize into 50 million USD.

The plans of Technosila to sell the company were known in January this year. The company was reported to be estimated into 200 million USD. The owner offered the home appliances net to its competitors M.Video, Eldorado and Media-Markt-Saturn.

Technosila was established in 1993 by brothers Vyacheslav and Viktor Zaytsev. In 2009 the net owned 122 shops, taking the third place in Russia on revenue volume among home appliances shops.
