Volvo Group to invest $120 million into cab production in Kaluga

 Volvo Group plans to invest $120 million into building a cab production plant in Kaluga, said the company. The plant is expected to produce 15 000 cabs a year since 2014. The Volvo and Renault trucks, produced in Kaluga, will be completed by the cabs from the new plant.


At the moment the cabs are imported from Sweden.


The plant Volvo Vostok has been operation in Kaluga since 2009, producing Volvo and Renault trucks. In the first half of 2012, the production has grown up to 2985 trucks, says ACM-Holding.
