Mireille Mathieu to Sing in Moscow

French legend Mireille Mathieu will give a concert in the Kremlin Palace on November 3.

It is a reminder that recently the well-known singer who participated in the opening ceremony of the Spassky Tower Festival in Moscow accused the Russian television of censorship. Her interview about the action of Pussy Riot has been negatively distorted.

The singer, a Catholic by religion, answered: «I think that the girls did not fully realize what they were doing, since the church is not a proper place for protest rallies. Church is a place for a prayer, and that was a sacrilege».

In the interview posted on the internet her words were distorted with the lip-synch “translation”: “It seems to me that they are insane, I condemn their actions”.
