A project of a new housing estate to be built on the embankment of Izhevsk has been approved recently.
The project developers have suggested preserving old wooden houses in this area and creating a small museum in the new residential district.
These wooden houses are historically important city objects, which can be both reconstructed and renovated.
So far it remains unclear if the historical houses will stay in the new district of Izhevsk. The final project will be approved by the end of this year. Its implementation is planned for 2013-2014.
One of the old houses will be transferred to the memorial estate Ludorvay.
