CEO of Transaero, Olga Pleshakova, was put on the list of 50 most influential business ladies of the world in 2012 according to a rating made by the business magazines Fortune. Ranked 49th, Olga Pleshakova is the only representative of Russian business in the rating. The rating includes the most successful business ladies living outside United States.
«According to Fortune, Olga Pleshakova was included in the rating thanks to her outstanding achievements in the network of Transaero’s development over the last 10 years. Under her guidance Transaero became the Russia’s second largest carrier, which is continuing its stable development and improving its financial indicators», - the airline said.
Last time a Russian woman was put into the rating in 2008. The General Director of Basic Element Gulzhan Moldazhanova was among the 50 most influential business ladies of the world from 2005 up to 2008.
The CEO of the Brazilian oil company Petrobras, Maria das Gracas Foster, headed the Fortune list this year.
