Moscow once again leads the list of the most expensive European cities by hotel accommodation. The average room price per night is RUB 6546,00, which is 8,18% higher than a year ago.
London breathes in Moscow's nape: in Russian currency an average price there is 6483,00 per night - this is nearly 11% higher than in August 2011. But in this case the increase is self-explicable: the Olympics.
Stokholm occupies the third position (RUB 5897,00). Next follow Kyiv (RUB 4368,00), Paris, Amsterdam, and Lubljana. In the last three cities hotel prices actually descreased in comparison to August 2011 by 9-10%.
The global survey is led by New York where the prices have increased by 17%. A similar rise was noted in Singapore, Sidney, Hong Kong, Buenos-Aires, and Instanbul. Meanwhile, in Rio-de-Janeiro and Zurich the hotel accommodation became cheaper.
