Kuzbass Scientists Create Unique Lenses For Post-Burn Eye Therapy

Russian ophtalmologists from Kuzbass created unique lenses to speed up the process of post-burn eye recovery.

Lenses are produced of unique soft material that absorbs burning matter, toxins, and viruses from both inner and outer eye tissues. The recovery rate of such treatment is at least twice as high as with traditional methods.

The project was headed by one of the universities, and all lenses have only passed laboratory tests. The next year and a half will see clinical trials. After this the lenses may be used in pre-hospital medical care.
