The government of Moscow plans to increase the number of vending machines up to 90 thousand within three years, reports The Vedomosti, referring to the Program of automatic merchandising, worked out by the city hall of Moscow.
The vending machines will offer food products, including milk and water, books, magazines and other goods. The market potential is estimated at 200 thousand vending machines.
Currently the trade turnover of automatic retail is estimated at 3-4 billion Rubles. By 2015 it is to reach 40 billion. About 15 thousand of vending machines are installed in Moscow now.
