Exhibition of Screenwriter of Mimino Opens in Moscow

An exhibition of painting, graphic and sculptural works by Rezo Gabriadze - the author of the films Mimino and Kin-dza-dza - will open in the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts on October 16.

The exposition will take place in one of the halls of the main building - where Mikhail Shemyakin's exhibition was housed before. Altogether the exhibition will present about 100 works by Gabriadze's selected by the author himself. Brought together, they supplement and reflect many-sided talent of this film director, the screenwriter and artist.

Besides, visitors of the exhibition will see the sculpture of the well-known Chizhyk-Pyzhik set up on the bank of Fontanka River in St. Petersburg; very few people know that Gabriadze is the author of this amusing monument.
