Moscow has hosted a key educational forum on smart economy as academia and corporations are looking for new groundbreaking ways to generate and capitalize on knowledge.

      

      'The world on a path to smart society', held in the Crocus exhibition hall just outside Moscow, was set to coincide with the 80th anniversary of MESI - Moscow State University of Economics, Statistics and Informatics.

      

      The event which brought together leading professionals in such fields as e-learning and knowledge management drew some 3,500 participants this year, a record number in the 20 years that such conferences are arranged by MESI,
